I could feel Mother Mary's benevolent and loving presence for three days, urging me to paint her. On the night of the third day Mary woke me up to paint the vision she had given me. In the middle of the night I arose and painted her as instructed. With the imagery came a message that we are being helped by many angels and enlightened beings that are unseen, as well as seen on this Earth. That there is great unconditional love and compassion for us in this time of change, and that we needed to trust and open our hearts more and more.

Dakini Kundalini Mama - SOLD

From the abstraction of black and red on the canvas I entered a trance-like state, and the face began to appear. I heard inwardly "Dakini" as the face began to take form and expression. My guidance said to paint and look up "dakini" later. I completed the process and heard inwardly that this painting's name was "Dakini Kundalini Mama."
I looked up Dakini to find it meant Celestial Being, or Sky Dancer in Sanskrit. From a psychological perspective it represented the releasing of all masks of the ego and the expression of one's authentic self. Kundalini is the powerful force of transformation that brings this enlightenment. If you are attracted to this Divine Mama, look for major transformation in your world!

Rainbow Hope came into my life as it was raining sheets of rain and thundering from the Heavens. My life was in transition, having closed a business and dealing with some health issues and loss in my life. Yet as I painted I felt a promise of hope, of love, and of cleansing of this pain. The next morning I found out we had had a 100 year flood in Fort Collins, Co where I lived. Several people had died in the flood and there was major devastation in my community. In the midst of it I felt this angel mother's promise that all would be restored. It was time to be in the waters of life, to allow their flow and to shift with the times that were being offered... being grateful for what was and letting go of what no longer was... trusting in new beginnings and a time of restoration and regeneration.

Virgin de Guadalupe

This Holy Mother came to me in 2005, connecting me to some ancient spiritual roots I understand even more completely today, five years later. The Virgin de Guadalupe reminds us that she is always with us, and that there are always miracles around us if we will look for them, and if we will open to receive them.
The Story of Virgin de Guadalupe
Virgin de Guadalupe is the ancient Aztec Dark Mother who has watched over the indigenous peoples for 1,000s of years in Mexico. In 1531 Juan Diego, a simple man, saw an apparition of a young woman surrounded by light. This Lady told Juan to go back to the bishop and to tell him they needed to build a church in her honor. From her words, Juan Diego recognized her as the Virgin Mary... or Vigin de Guadalupe. When he told the story to the Spanish bishop, Juan was discounted and told to return only with a miraculous sign to prove her claim. Juan Diego returned to the Virgin, feeling rather defeated and told her this. Guadalupe told Juan, "When have I ever not taken care of you." She instructed him to gather flowers from the top of Tepeyac HIll, even though it was winter when no flowers bloomed. There he found Castililian Roses (which were of the Bishop's native home, but not indigenous to Tepeyac). He gathered them, and the Virgin herself re-arranged them in his tilma, or peasant cloak. When Juan presented the roases to the Bishop, the image of Virgin de Guadalupe miraculously appeared imprinted on the cloth of Diego's tilma.

Great Mother, Golden Child - SOLD

This painting emerged while on a shamanic pilgrimage to the Andes of Peru. While at 11,000 feet, camping in the cold in the Andes, I became deathly ill for 3 days, barely able to walk. I knew it was a time of transformation and felt the presence of the Great Mother all around me, holding me as I went through a shamanic death. When I began to gain some strength I pulled out my travel kit of paints to capture the feeling and sensse of the Greath Mother and her message to me. It was clear she was holding me and there was promise death and rebirth on all levels. It was time to let go, and to expand... in or out of body! I had to trust and to allow myself to feel her love for me. Amazingly several days later I hiked 3 miles into a sacred mountain area at 15,000 feet, spending the entire day there, hiking out with a total sense of rebirth and transformation.

Dragonflies buzz around this great divine Mother, reminding us of ancient magic that lives within us all, for we are children of this Mother.

Crow Mother - SOLD

Crow mother came to me in a dream while in Rome on a goddess tour, seeing it from the eyes of the Goddess. I got sick on the tour and took a day off. My dear mentor crone Meinrad Craighead gave me her totem crow mother to pray with for healing as I stayed behind from the group that day. That night I awoke from a clear dream with the Crow Mother holding me and healing me. I painted a small watercolor while in Rome of this dream, then came home and created this image in acrylic. It is the first of several working with the imagery and message.

The Ascension goddess came to me in a process of several weeks while teaching an Intuitive painting class on the chakras. As she came through she brought messages of healing the body and making way for more light to come into the body, and the opportunity to become an ascended being in this life.
